is a mandatory brief evaluation of a child before entering Kindergarten
- Referral to Pupil Evaluation Team (PET) this must
be made in writing
- School Evaluations
to find out student's present level and needs
- Independent Educational Evaluation
only if requested by parents
- PET decides eligibility & identification
- PET writes Individual Educational Program (IEP)
- PET decides IEP Services
frequency, duration and provider
- PET determines Modifications & Accommodations
- PET determines Assistive Devices
- PET determines Least Restricted Environment
- School implements IEP
measures progress and reports to parents
- PET reviews
progress and revises IEP
- Re-Evaluation
may be done as needed
