Chapter 5: Pupil Evaluation Team (PET)

The Pupil Evaluation Team (PET) Meeting Notice

The Pupil Evaluation Team (PET) Meeting Notice should include:

  • The purpose of the meeting,
  • The time, date and location,
  • Who will be in attendance, and
  • A copy of the procedural safeguards (a statement of parental rights)

The purpose of providing a copy to parents before the meeting is to make sure they have time to review the language.

MSER requires that the school invite parents and people who work with your child to attend, and that you as a parent be given prior notice at least 7 days before the meeting.
